Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed personal terms with Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare on a five-year deal, while negotiations with KRC Genk continue.

Arokodare has attracted interest from top European clubs following an outstanding 2024/25 season with Genk, where he scored 23 goals and provided seven assists in 45 appearances across all competitions. He finished as the league’s joint top scorer and claimed the prestigious Ebony Shoe award.

Wolves are eager to strengthen their attack after a poor start to the new Premier League season, having failed to score in their first two games. According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, the club is preparing an offer of around €20 million plus bonuses to secure the Nigerian forward.

“Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently considering Tolu Arokodare. Wolves set to submit an offer of around €20M plus bonuses to KRC Genk,” Tavolieri posted on X.

“Wolves have reached a personal agreement with the Nigerian on the terms of a five-year contract. The player remains calm and is waiting for an agreement between the clubs.”

Genk, however, are reportedly holding out for €25 million. The Belgian club signed the 24-year-old for €5 million from French side Amiens in January 2023, following the departure of star striker Paul Onuachu to Southampton.

Some of the clubs that had shown interest in Arokodare over the course of the summer include AC Milan, Napoli, Atalanta, and a host of other Premier League clubs.
