…Brighton, Palace, Leeds also in race to sign Tochukwu Nnadi
English Premier League side West Ham United are set to table a £3.5 million bid in January for SV Zulte Waregem’s Nigerian midfielder, Tochukwu Nnadi, Bold Sports reports.
Nnadi, who has been named in the Super Eagles’ provisional squad for the forthcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco later this month, has been one of Zulte Waregem’s standout performers this season. The 22-year-old has featured in 15 matches, missing only two due to suspension.
The defensive midfielder is highly rated by scouts, who consider him physically equipped and mentally ready for the intensity and pace of the Premier League. He has been described as relentless, explosive in recovery, and tactically disciplined.

According to reports in England, West Ham have identified Nnadi as an ideal solution to their defensive midfield problems and are prepared to pay €4 million while offering a five-year contract.
The Hammers, however, face competition. Brighton are also monitoring the player closely, while Leeds United, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace have joined the chase for the talented Nigerian.

Nnadi represented Nigeria at the 2023 U-20 FIFA World Cup, helping the Flying Eagles reach the quarterfinals. He is reportedly open to leaving Belgium, and Zulte Waregem are willing to sell, with his current valuation now around five times what they paid to sign him from Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv.
