Trabzonspor have made it clear that Paul Onuachu remains central to their ambitions for the 2026-27 season, with the Turkish club reportedly refusing to entertain offers for the Nigerian striker despite growing interest from Saudi Arabian teams.

‎The Black Sea outfit sees the experienced forward as a crucial figure in its quest to compete for the Turkish Süper Lig title next season. Club president Ertuğrul Doğan has reportedly ruled out the possibility of a transfer, signaling the club’s determination to keep one of its most influential players, according to Turkish outlet Sabah.

‎Onuachu enters the new campaign after one of the best seasons of his career. The Nigeria international scored 22 goals in 30 Turkish Süper Lig appearances last season, finishing as the league’s joint top scorer alongside İstanbul Başakşehir forward Eldor Shomurodov.

‎His consistency in front of goal helped drive Trabzonspor’s attack throughout the campaign. Those performances have also increased his profile in the transfer market, attracting attention from clubs outside Turkey.

‎The 32-year-old striker remains one of the most productive Nigerian forwards playing in Europe. His goals, physical presence, and experience have made him a key component of Trabzonspor’s long-term plans.

‎Reports from Turkey indicate that Trabzonspor have rejected approaches and expressions of interest for the striker. Despite regular speculation linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia, the club is not prepared to sanction a departure.

‎Importantly, there have been no reports suggesting that Onuachu has requested a transfer. The striker is understood to remain focused on preparations for the upcoming season.

‎Trabzonspor’s stance reflects their ambition to build a squad capable of mounting a serious championship challenge. Keeping their leading scorer is viewed as a major step toward achieving that objective.

‎With pre-season preparations underway, the Turkish side appears determined to retain its Nigerian star and continue building around one of the Süper Lig’s most reliable goalscorers.
