Terem Moffi grabbed a brace and provided an assist for OGC Nice in their 3-2 win over champions PSG at the Parc de Princes on Friday in an action packed encounter.
Moffi grabbed the opener for the visitors in the 21st minute to set up a mouthwatering encounter, but PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe restored parity eight minutes later (29′).
The Nigeria international turned provider in the 53rd minute, providing an assist for Gaetan Laborde in the 53rd minute.
Moffi extended Nice’s lead to 3-1 in the 68th minute and was shown a yellow card for taking off his shirt.
Mbappe made it 3-2 in the 87th minute, but despite PSG’s attempts to snatch a draw at the dead, the visitors held on for their first away win over PSG in 14 visits.
The Nigerian was named the Man of The Match after his incredible performance on the night.
The 24-year-old was a torn in the flesh of the PSG defenders all night, tormenting yhem with his pace, power, and his incredible smart positioning.
The brace takes Moffi’s goals tally of the season to three in five appearances. He’s found the back of the net in two consecutive Ligue 1 games after failing to find the back of the net in his first three games of the season.
The result sees Nice leapfrog PSG on the log to second place on nine poi ts one point ahead of the Parisiens who are on eighth points.
The loss is PSG’s first of the season making it their worst start to the French Ligue 1 giants since the 2010/11 campaign.
