Struggling Chukwueze faces AC Milan summer exit threat

AC Milan may consider selling Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze during the upcoming summer transfer window if he doesn’t improve his performance before the season’s end, Corriere dello Sport reports.

Chukwueze, who transferred from Villarreal to the Serie A club on a five-year contract worth €20 million last summer, has so far fallen short of expectations.

The Nigerian international is yet to score a goal in 15 Serie A appearances. His lackluster display during Milan’s 4-2 defeat to Monza resulted in his substitution at halftime, along with Noah Okafor and Yacine Adli.

In 20 games across all competitions, the 24-year-old has only managed to score two goals and provide one assist for the Rossoneri. This output is below what was anticipated considering the significant investment in his services in the summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Chukwueze isn’t the only player facing potential exit from Milan in the summer. Noah Okafor, another summer signing, has also failed to meet expectations. Additionally, Luka Jovic’s contract extension is in doubt due to his poor form.

If their poor run of form continues, Milan may have no other option but to sell them off when they shop for new players.
