“The journey wasn’t easy. There were sacrifices, setbacks, victories, tears, and moments I’ll cherish forever. Every shirt I wore, every teammate I stood beside, and every supporter who believed in me became part of my story.

“To my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and fans, thank you for carrying me through every chapter. I leave the pitch with no regrets, only gratitude. Football shaped my life, and I will love this game forever.

“This is not the end, it’s the beginning of a new chapter. Thank you for everything.”

Dauda began his professional career with Swedish club Sölvesborgs GoIF during the 2006/07 season before earning a move to Kalmar FF, where he established himself as a prolific striker, scoring 33 goals in 129 appearances.

He later enjoyed spells with several clubs across Europe, including Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian, and Greek clubs AEL and Panetolikos. The former Nigerian international also played in India with Mohammedan SC (Kolkata).
