LaLiga side Real Sociedad hope to sign Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq before the close of transfer window on Thursday.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed this in a tweet on Monday.
The Nigerian striker currently plays for another LaLiga side Almeria who were just promoted from the second division.
According to him, the Basque side hope to use Sadiq as a replacement for Swedish striker Alexander Isak who recently joined English Premier League side Newcastle United.

“He’s the main option considered to replace Alexander Isak,” Romano tweeted.
Isak spent three years at Sociedad, scoring 33 goals in 105 appearances.
Sadiq, 25, is also not goal shy, scoring 40 time for Almeria in 79 appearances since joining them in 2020.
He also has two LaLiga goals in the three games for Almeria this season.
Bold Sports had earlier reported that Sociedad, Villareal and Valencia were interested in the Nigeria striker.
