Substitute Moses Simon scored a 89th minute individual goal to hand Nantes all maximum points in their 3-2 comeback win over Lens in the French Ligue 1 on Friday.
David Costa gave the visitors the lead in the seventh minute before Armaud Mumiga made it 2-0 in the 19th minute.
The hosts despite the deficit returned for the second half the hungrier side with forward Kolo Muani grabbing a brace in the 49th and 57th minute.
Lens were hoping to hold on for a draw but Simon who replaced Willem Geubbels in the 70th minutes ensured he had the last say in the 89th minute to hand his side a memorable comeback win.
The Nigeria international receiving the ball from the right wing wiggled past the defenders before firing home a thunderous shot to beat an helpless Jean-Louis Leca in goal.
The goal is Simon’s second for Nantes this season in 17 games.
His only other goal came in the club’s 3-1 loss to Stade Reims on September 26. He has assisted six goals for the club this season.
The win is Nantes seventh of the season after 18 games also taking them to 10 on the league log with 25 points.
