Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi scored his first goal of the 2025/26 season to inspire Hull City to a 2–1 comeback victory over Stoke City in the English Championship at the Bet365 Stadium.

Stoke took the lead in the 17th minute through Sorba Thomas, but Ajayi restored parity three minutes after the restart with a powerful close-range header. Joe Gelhardt then sealed all three points for the visitors with a 90th-minute winner.

Semi Ajayi’s strike was his first in nine league appearances this season and the win ends Hull City’s two-game losing streak, lifting them temporarily to seventh on the table.

Hull City resumes action on Friday, December 5, when they host Middlesbrough to kick off a busy December schedule.
