Rilwan Alowonle claims 400mH national title in homecoming

Rilwan Alowonle won the national title in the men’s 400m hurdles at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Tuesday.

Alowonle was returning to compete for Nigeria after an over two-year absence.

That was his first national title, crossing the finish line in a time of 51.74s.

Oseiwe Salami, who placed 2nd in 52.50s.

In the women’s 4oom hurdles event, Taiwo Kudoro also claimed her first national title in a Personal Best time of 59.58s.
