Raphael Onyedika has clinched the 2025/26 Belgian Pro League title with Club Brugge after the club’s 2-2 draw with KV Mechelen on Thursday.
The Super Eagles midfielder has now won the league twice as he was also part of the squad that secured the title in the 2023/24 campaign. It marks Club Brugge’s second league trophy in three seasons, and the 20th in the club’s history.
Club Brugge’s 2-2 draw took them four points above second-placed Union St.Gilloise, with one game left to play.
The visitors took the lead in the 17th minute through Christos Tzolis who made it 1-0. However, KV Mechelen equalised few minutes into the second half with Myron van Brederode finding the net.
Club Brugge regained their lead immediately as Nicolò Tresoldi scored two minutes after the hosts’ equaliser, making it 2-1. An own-goal by goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel made it 2-2 in the 87th minute, forcing both sides to settle for a point each.
Despite the result, a goalless draw between Union St.Gilloise and Gent confirmed Club Brugge as the champions. It also means they have qualified automatically for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase.

Raphael Onyedika is now the latest Super Eagles Player to win a league title this season. Victor Osimhen won his second straight Super Lig title with Galatasaray, while Kelechi Iheanacho was crowned Scottish Premiership champion with Celtic.
Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi clinched the Liga Portugal with Porto, Frank Onyeka won the Championship with Coventry, and Francis Uzoho won the Cypriot First Division title with Omonoia Nicosia.
