Precious Achiuwa has had an impressive start to life with the New York Knicks and this continued as he knocked down 17 points to help propel them to a 123-113 win over the Memphis Grizzlies as they returned to winning ways after their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Precious Achiuwa was part of a trade that included OG Anunoby along with guard Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks for guard Immanuel Quickley, Canadian swingman RJ Barrett, and a second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft as the Raptors pushed for an overhaul of their roster.

The trade has benefited Achiuwa exponentially as he has somewhat become a force in New York and perfectly fits into the place of the injured Julius Randle.
Aside from the 17 points (8-13 shooting) the D’Tigers star also added five rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block in the win. Donte DiVincenzo had a game-high 32 points while Jalen Brunson had 27 points. Centre Isaiah Hartenstein also had 17 points.
The Knicks are currently without Julius Randle and OG Anunoby and despite missing some of their biggest stars, Achiuwa says the team still winning consistently shows how prepared the role players are to quickly step up, fill in, and do their bit.

“It goes to show that guys are staying ready. Once your name is called, be ready to step up and play.” The Knicks are 9-1 in their last 10 NBA outing.
