Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been named the most valuable U-23 player in the Italian Serie A.
The league body announced Osimhen as the U-23 MVP via its Twitter page on Friday.
Goals, goals, goals. A young striker with the experience of a veteran: @victorosimhen9 is the best Under-23 of this #SerieA,” it tweeted.
Despite facing injury and COVID-19 concerns this season Osimhen has scored 14 Serie A goals, providing two assists.
He joined Napoli for an African record fee of €81m on July 31, 2020 after an impressive Ligue 1 season.
He is also subject of interest from many English Premier League clubs which include Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United.
