Osimhen slams kvaratskhelia’s agent over Saudi Arabia claim

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has slammed Mamuka Jugeli, the agent of teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia over comments that the Nigeria international would rather make a move to Saudi Arabia than aspire to play for some of Europe’s best club sides.

After several meetings, Osimhen in December extended his contract until 2026 but despite committing to Napoli, there are insinuations that he might depart the club for greener pastures

The Georgian agent has insinuated that the Nigerian is not as ambitious as Kvaratskhelia whose ambition is to play for clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, or Manchester City stating that the Nigerian despite signing a contract extension with Napoli would opt for a move to Saudi Arabia next season.

He said, “Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you think he will spend his entire career at Napoli? I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer.

“Napoli have raised his salary, but Khvicha would not accept such a transfer even for €1 billion. He’d rather play for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Manchester City. Kvaratskhelia has different targets and preferences.”

The unguarded claims, however, didn’t go down well with the 25-year-old as he took to his Instagram page to slam the agent over the ridiculous claims.

“Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf***! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!”

Both Osimhen and kvaratskhelia were instrumental in helping Napoli break their domestic trophy drought helping them win their first Serie A title in 33 years last season. Osinhen found the back of the net 26 times and provided five assists in 32 league games while kvaratskhelia scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 34 league games.

Osimhen in the past has spoken about the botched Saudi Arabia deal and why he decided to stay back at Napoli despite the mouthwatering offer.
