Osimhen not for sale, De Laurentiis warns Chelsea, United

Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has insisted that in-form and highly sought-after superstar striker, Victor Osimhen, is not for sale.

The Nigeria international has attracted interest from Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea as well as French giants Paris Saint-Germain over the summer and in recent weeks.

Osimhen has been in the form of his life as Napoli hopes to win their first Scudetto in over 30 years scoring 16 goals in 17 league games helping the Partenopei stay 13 points clear of second placed Inter Milan who beat arch rivals AC Milan 1-0 over the weekend.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is said to be ready to break the bank for the Nigeria international while Manchester United are ready to meet the Italians buyout clause and PSG manager Christophe Galtier who coached the Nigerian during his time at Lille is hoping to reunite with the 24-year-old.

However, De Laurentiis has declared that the player is not for sale no matter the amount on the table.

“I can tell you that Osimhen is not for sale,” De Laurentiis told German publication Bild.

“Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone. We don’t have any debts,” he added.

The superstar striker who has scored 45 goals in 83 games cost Napoli £62.4m when he transferred from Lille to Napoli in 2020. His current contract expires in 2025, and it is believed that no negotiations have yet taken place to extend it.
