Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored twice as Trabzonspor secured a 4-3 victory over Karagümrük in a pulsating Turkish Super Lig clash at the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı on Saturday, Bold Sports reports.
Despite coming into the match winless in their last three outings, Trabzonspor struck first in the 20th minute through Felipe Augusto. The lead lasted just eight minutes before Tiago Çukur hit back for Karagümrük to level the contest.
With the scores tied, Onuachu stepped up in spectacular fashion. The Nigerian striker restored Trabzonspor’s advantage in the 35th minute with a stunning first-time finish from Wagner Pina’s cross. Ten minutes later, he won a penalty after being fouled by Atakan Çankaya and calmly converted from the spot to put the visitors 3-1 ahead at halftime.

Danylo Sikan extended the lead to 4-1 late in the second half, seemingly putting Trabzonspor out of sight. But Chelsea loanee David Datro Fofana sparked a fightback for the hosts, scoring twice — first to reduce the deficit to 4-2, then again to make it 4-3.
Buoyed by Fofana’s brace, Karagümrük pressed hard for a late equaliser, but Trabzonspor’s defence held their ground to secure a dramatic victory and their fourth win of the campaign.
The result lifts Trabzonspor to second on the Super Lig standings with 14 points, seven adrift of leaders Galatasaray, while Karagümrük remain in 17th with just three points.

Onuachu’s brace takes his tally to five goals in seven league matches this season. The in-form striker will look to continue his scoring run when Trabzonspor host Kayserispor on Friday.
