Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu was on target as Trabzonspor edged a thrilling seven-goal contest, securing a dramatic 4-3 victory over ten-man Başakşehir in their Turkish Super Lig clash on Monday, Bold Sports reports.
Başakşehir were reduced to ten men as early as the 10th minute when Festy Ebosele received a straight red card, yet the hosts defied the setback to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
David Selke opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after a handball by Okay Yokuşlu, before Felipe Augusto restored parity for Trabzonspor in the 37th minute. Eldor Shomurodov then scored on the stroke of halftime to send the hosts ahead.

Despite their numerical advantage, Trabzonspor struggled to find an equaliser until the 75th minute when Olivier Kemen committed an handball inside the penalty area.
Onuachu stepped up and confidently dispatched the resulting spot kick, bringing the visitors level. Moments later, Ernest Muci completed the turnaround with a composed finish after a clever pass from Arseniy Batahov.
Başakşehir refused to give up and equalised in the first minute of stoppage time as Bertug Yıldırım finished from close range to make it 3-3. But just when the hosts thought they had snatched a point, Muci struck again deep into added time, firing home his second of the night to hand Trabzonspor a dramatic late winner.
The victory keeps Fatih Tekke’s side third on the Super Lig standings and reduces the gap behind league leaders Galatasaray to four points. Başakşehir, meanwhile, remain 13th on 13 points, missing a chance to break into the top half of the table.
Onuachu’s goal takes his tally to nine for the season, keeping him level with Eldor Shomurodov at the top of the Super Lig goalscoring chart.
