Nottingham Forest are open to offers for winger, Emmanuel Dennis, in the January transfer window, after the Nigerian failed to replicate the form that saw them pay Watford £15 million for his services in the summer.
The Nigeria international has failed to find his feet at the club who are currently battling relegation in the English top flight league. The 25-year-old was expected to be an instant hit at the club having impressed in his single season at Watford in the Premier League where he found the back of the net 10 times while providing six assists in 37 games across all competitions for the side.
Forest manager, Steve Cooper, had revealed that in order for the team to compete favourably in the Premier League and avoid relegation at the end of the season, they’ll need to beef up the squad while players who have had little or no impact in the clubs campaign would likely be loaned out or sold.
It is most likely Dennis would be loaned outside of England or return to Watford on loan as it will be impossible for him to represent another English club having featured for Watford in the championship at the start of the season. The rule in England states that no player can play for three different English clubs in a season.
After gaining promotion to the topflight, the club overhauled almost the entire team while spending £150m in the process, but favourable results have been scarce.
In 10 league appearances this season, Dennis has scored once while adding an assist. A poor return for the enormous £15m paid for his services just five months ago.
