Sporting Lagos will be hoping to extend their fairytale start to the 2025/26 Nigeria National League season as they chase a third consecutive victory when they host Stormers SC at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Friday.
The Tech Boys have opened the campaign in fine form, winning both of their first two fixtures – a 3-1 triumph over Osun United and a 1-0 win against First Bank FC – and will aim to build on that momentum against Stormers SC.

The ultimate dream for the Lagos-based side remains a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League, after narrowly missing out last season when they failed to reach the NNL playoffs.
With two wins from two, Sporting Lagos sit atop the Group B standings, edging out fellow promotion contenders Akwa United on goal difference. The former NPFL and FA Cup champions also boast a perfect start to the season.
Stormers SC, meanwhile, head into the encounter seeking a positive result. The Abeokuta-based side will look to build on their impressive 3–1 victory over Godswill Akpabio FC, following a narrow 1–0 loss to Ekiti United in their season opener.
