Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named in Sky Sports pundit Izzy Christiansen’s Women’s Super League (WSL) Team of the Week for Gameweek 19, following an assured performance for Brighton over the weekend.

The Nigerian international played a crucial role in Brighton’s 1-0 victory over Leicester City, delivering a commanding display between the posts to secure her sixth clean sheet of the season. Her efforts helped the Seagulls claim their third away win of the campaign.

Nnadozie’s inclusion comes as part of a strong lineup selected by Christiansen. In defence, Manchester City duo Alex Greenwood and Rebecca Knaak are joined by Aston Villa’s Lynn Wilms. The midfield features Lauren Hemp of Manchester City, Chelsea’s Sjoeke Nüsken, Tottenham’s Signe Gaupset, and Liverpool’s Ceri Holland.

The attacking trio is equally impressive, with Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson, Arsenal striker Alessia Russo, and Chelsea star Lauren James completing the side. Manchester City boss Andrée Jeglertz is selected as the coach.

Nnadozie’s recognition further underlines her growing influence in the WSL this season. The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the league’s standout goalkeepers and is firmly in contention for the Golden Glove award.

She has recorded six clean sheets in 16 appearances, placing her joint second in the standings, just behind Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton, who leads with seven.
