…Edward Jassy joins Mahanaim teammate Samuel Sokoato at the club
Mahanaim FC has announced that its collaboration with Al Masi FC has helped secure a professional move to Europe for promising winger Edward Jassy, who has signed for Czech club SK Sigma Olomouc.
The 18-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract with the club, with an option for an additional year, marking a significant step in his young career. The move is the result of a developmental pathway created through the partnership between Mahanaim FC and Al Masi FC, which provided the platform Jassy needed to realize his dream of playing professional football in Europe.
Although Jassy joins the Czech side from Al Masi FC, Mahanaim FC played a pivotal role in his early football education. The winger developed through the club’s youth system in Abuja, where he was nurtured and refined under the guidance of coach Lawal Dankoli and his technical team. Their work helped shape the player into the exciting attacking talent he is today.
Jassy is known for his versatility across the flanks, capable of operating effectively on either wing. Blessed with quick feet and impressive dribbling ability, he is comfortable taking on defenders in one-on-one situations. His sharp decision-making in attacking areas also makes him a constant threat to opposition defences.

At Sigma Olomouc, Jassy will reunite with familiar faces from Mahanaim FC. He joins teammate Samuel Sokoato at the club, while former Mahanaim player Ahmad Ghali has already established himself as a first-team player for the Czech side.
