Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis has expressed gratitude after completing a move to Danish side Brøndby IF, signing a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.

The 28-year-old is returning to action after months without competitive football, having not featured officially since playing seven minutes in Blackburn Rovers’ 1-1 draw with Sheffield United on May 3, 2025.

Dennis’ loan at Blackburn expired in August, after which he returned to Nottingham Forest before mutually terminating his contract with the Premier League club, bringing his time at the City Ground to an end.

Now handed a fresh start in Denmark, the former Watford forward will be eager to revive his career and rediscover his best form. He has already joined up with Brøndby in training and could make his first appearance in the coming days, with the club set to face OB and Hillerød in friendly matches.

Reacting to the move on Instagram, Dennis posted a short message of appreciation, writing: “New beginning. All glory to Almighty Jesus Christ.”

Dennis joined Nottingham Forest in 2022 after an impressive spell at Watford, where he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 33 Premier League appearances despite the club’s relegation.

However, his time at Forest did not reach the same heights. In his debut season, he managed two goals and three assists before going out on loan to İstanbul Başakşehir, Watford and Blackburn Rovers.

His most recent spell at Ewood Park proved difficult, as he ended the second half of last season with one assist and no goals in seven matches, a return that reportedly discouraged Blackburn from pursuing a permanent transfer.

With Brøndby now offering him stability and a relatively long-term contract, Dennis will hope the move provides the platform to restart his career and make a strong impact in Denmark.
