Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has given the green light to join Turkish giants Besiktas, with a deal now in place for a move from Leicester City, Bold Sports reports.
According to Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, a three-year contract with an option for an additional year was sent to the player after he approved the transfer.
Besiktas, who had a €9.5 million bid accepted by Leicester yesterday, are now preparing to send a private jet to bring the 28-year-old to Istanbul for his medicals, marking the final step before the move is officially sealed.

Ndidi’s impending transfer will see him become the latest in a growing line of Nigerian internationals heading to the Turkish Super Lig this summer. Victor Osimhen completed a blockbuster switch to Galatasaray, Paul Onuachu returned to Turkey with Trabzonspor, while Henry Onyekuru also sealed a move to Genclerbirligi.
Besiktas will be banking on Ndidi’s experience and midfield presence to strengthen their squad as they aim to reclaim the Super Lig title for the first time since the 2020/21 season.
The move potentially ends Ndidi’s seven-year spell at Leicester City, where he made 303 appearances, scoring 18 goals and recording 22 assists. Last season, he played 30 matches for the Foxes, contributing one goal and five assists.
With personal terms agreed and the clubs aligned, Ndidi is now just a medical away from officially becoming a Besiktas player.
