NBA: Okogie steal helps Suns beat Clippers

Josh Okogie was instrumental in helping the Phoenix Suns advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs after they defeated The LA Clippers 136-130 in Game 4 at the FootPrint Centre.

Reacting to his decisive steal which led to the team extending their lead to four points, Okogie said he was happy to do his job, “I just put my body in front of him to make sure he doesn’t get an easy shot. I saw a clear path to the ball so I poke at it and thank God Chris Paul was there to cap it all off.”

Devin Booker, who has been in superb form in the playoffs scored a game-high 47 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Kevin Durant recorded 31 points, six rebounds and four assists while Deandre Ayton had 21 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Guard Norman Powell who tried to lead a Clippers comeback had 27 points, two rebounds and three assists. 

The Suns will play the Denver Nuggets in the second round. The Nuggets saw off the Minnesota Timberwolves 3-1 in their first round play-offs match-up.
