Napoli ready to pay Osimhen extra €130,000

Victor Osimhen has earned a total of €260,000 from goals bonuses this season for Napoli and could earn €130,000 more should he hit 30 goals before the end of the season with at least 15 games to go.

According to Osimhen’s contract which has been widely reported in Italy, the 24-year-old has a clause which will see him earn €130,000 for 20 goals scored for the club, another €130,000 should he reach 25 goals and could also hit another €130,000 should he score 30 goals.

At the moment, the Nigeria international has been able to amass €260,000 having scored a total of 25 goals in 29 games across all competitions for the Partenopei. However, with close to 15 games till the end of the season (11 games in the league and five more should the Italians reach the Uefa Champions League final) the Nigerian will be hoping to claim another €130,000 in goals bonus.

With a form that has seen him score 11 goals in his last 10 league games and three goals in his last Champions League games, Napoli’s accountants will be ready to cut another cheque for the Nigerian.

The departure of Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne, Fabian Ruiz, Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer has seen Osimhen become the main man at Napoli and is on the verge of leading the side to their first Scudetto title in over 30 years. With his goals contributions, Napoli have gone 19 points clear of Lazio who are in second place.
