Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has shared his reaction following Wolverhampton Wanderers’ impressive 2-1 victory over Liverpool in Tuesday’s Premier League encounter at Molineux, Bold Sports reports.

The Nigerian international was introduced from the bench during the game and made an immediate impact, setting up Rodrigo Gomes for the opening goal in the 78th minute. Liverpool responded swiftly, with Mohamed Salah ending his longest Premier League goal drought to level the score at 1-1.

Rob Edwards’ men continued to press forward and were ultimately rewarded for their persistence when Brazilian midfielder Andre struck late to seal the win. The result marked Wolves’ third league victory of the season and their second in succession, having also beaten Aston Villa in their previous outing.

Despite the morale-boosting triumph, Wolves remain deep in relegation trouble. The victory lifted them to 16 points from 30 matches, leaving them 11 points adrift of 17th-placed Nottingham Forest, who still have two games in hand.

Reacting to the outcome, Arokodare expressed satisfaction on his Snapchat account, acknowledging the late timing but celebrating the points gained. “Late but we’ll take it. BIG +3,” the Nigerian forward wrote.

The 25-year-old’s recent improvement in form comes despite off-field challenges, including racist abuse he received after missing a penalty in a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. In recent weeks, however, he has begun to justify why Wolves invested heavily to sign him from Belgian club Genk.

Arokodare has now registered two goals and one assist in the Premier League this season. Across all competitions, he has contributed five goals and two assists, making him the club’s joint top scorer.
