Kelechi Iheanacho continued his outstanding scoring run with a brace to help Bursaspor secure a 3-0 victory over Muğlaspor in their Turkish 1. Lig clash on Thursday.
The Nigerian striker took his tally to 14 goals and three assists in 10 matches for Bursaspor this season. He has scored in every game he has featured in for the club and, including his appearance for the Super Eagles, the 30-year-old has now found the net in 11 consecutive matches.
Following a goalless first half against Muğlaspor, Iheanacho thought he had broken the deadlock in the 51st minute, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside after a VAR review. However, the striker made no mistake seven minutes later, scoring to give Bursaspor a 1-0 lead.
Despite both sides creating chances, Bursaspor maintained their dominance in possession and eventually capitalised with two quick goals late in the game to secure all three points.

Iheanacho completed his brace in the 79th minute to double Bursaspor’s advantage before turning provider just four minutes later. The striker set up substitute Hüseyin Maldar, who scored the third goal to seal a convincing 3-0 victory for the visitors.
The win moves Bursaspor into one of the two automatic promotion places to the Turkish Super Lig. They now occupy second position in the Turkish 1. Lig with 22 points, two points ahead of third-placed Iğdır FK and three behind league leaders Kayserispor.
Iheanacho’s brace saw him become the first player to score in 10 consecutive professional league matches in Turkey. The forward will look to extend his impressive run when Bursaspor host Pendikspor in their next league fixture on Monday.
