Kelechi Iheanacho continued his impressive scoring campaign on Friday after finding the net against Antalyaspor in the Turkish 1. Lig. However, Bursaspor surrendered their advantage following an unfortunate own goal before half-time, Bold sports reports.

The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 26th minute at Antalya Stadium. Amine Boutrah provided the assist, allowing Iheanacho to add another goal to his impressive individual record this season.

Iheanacho maintains impressive scoring form

The Nigerian international has established himself as one of Bursaspor’s most influential attacking players this season. Before Friday’s encounter, he had registered 16 goals and three assists in 13 league appearances.

His recent performances have further demonstrated his importance to the team’s attacking ambitions. Iheanacho scored twice against Muğlaspor on October 15 before finding the net against Pendikspor and Keçiörengücü in subsequent league fixtures.

The former Leicester City forward has consistently delivered goals for Bursaspor. His latest contribution against Antalyaspor further strengthens his position among the competition’s most productive attacking players.

Boutrah creates opportunity for Iheanacho

Bursaspor eventually broke the deadlock through their Nigerian forward after creating a promising attacking opportunity. Boutrah played a crucial role in the move, supplying the ball for Iheanacho to finish.

The striker demonstrated his attacking instincts inside the penalty area. His 26th-minute effort gave the visitors an important advantage and rewarded their attacking approach.

However, Bursaspor could not preserve their lead until the interval. Antalyaspor continued searching for an equaliser and eventually capitalised on an unfortunate defensive moment.

Bayramov’s own goal restores parity

Antalyaspor drew level during first-half stoppage time after Toral Bayramov turned the ball into his own net. The unfortunate incident occurred in the 45+6th minute, leaving both teams level before the break.

The equaliser changed the complexion of the contest after Bursaspor had controlled the advantage for much of the opening period. Both sides consequently entered half-time with the score at 1-1.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho’s latest goal represents another important contribution to his outstanding individual campaign. Bursaspor will hope their Nigerian forward can produce another decisive moment as they pursue a positive result.
