Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s unstoppable form for Galatasaray continued on Sunday, as he scored twice but his efforts were not enough to propel the league leaders to victory, as they shared the spoils in a pulsating 3-3 draw with Kasimpaşa.
Galatasaray, who have showcased absolute dominance in the league this season, were on a 24-game unbeaten streak in the Super Lig and were expected to win easily against a Kasimpaşa side that had lost their previous three games.
As expected, Galatasaray took the lead in the 11th minute through Victor Osimhen’s penalty, helping them to maintain a slender advantage until halftime.
However, Kasimpaşa turned the tables in the second half, scoring two goals in nine minutes to take the lead as Mortadha Ben Ouannes’ header in the 52nd minute was followed by Josip Brekalo’s goal in the 61st minute, putting the home side ahead.

Despite falling behind again, Kasimpaşa refused to give up and earned a penalty after Carlos Cuesta’s foul. Haris Hajradinovic converted the spot kick to level the scoreline once more, ultimately helping his side secure a point against the league leaders.
The draw was a disappointing result for Galatasaray, who now have 65 points and lead Fenerbahçe by seven points, although their rivals have a game in hand. However, the title remains in their hands and they will be eager to bounce back with a win when they face Alanyaspor on Sunday.
