Super Falcons head coach Justin Madugu has named a strong starting lineup for Nigeria’s behind-closed-doors international friendly against Tanzania’s Twiga Stars as preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) enter the final stretch.

The warm-up fixture is scheduled to kick off at 6pm in Casablanca, with both teams using the encounter to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the continental tournament, which begins on Sunday in Morocco.

Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie starts between the posts, with Rofiat Imuran, Shukurat Oladipo, Oluwatosin Demehin and Sikiratu Isah forming the back four.

In midfield, Christy Ucheibe partners Jennifer Echegini and Toni Payne, while captain Rasheedat Ajibade leads the attack alongside experienced striker Asisat Oshoala and winger Rinsola Babajide.

Madugu also named a strong bench, including Comfort Erhabor, Fatima Oloko, Osinachi Ohale, Glory Ogbonna, Michelle Alozie, Halimatu Ayinde, Joy Omewa, Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, Francisca Ordega, Uchenna Kanu and Chinwendu Ihezuo.

The friendly provides the Super Falcons with one final opportunity to assess combinations and build match sharpness before they begin their WAFCON title defence against Malawi on Tuesday, July 28.
