The market value of Bordeaux striker, Josh Maja, has increased by €1m after his impressive start to the 2022/23 league season in the French Ligue 2, the second tier of French football.
Maja’s current transfer value stands at €4m according to respected football statistics website Transfermarkt, a €1m increase from their last valuation on May 13, 2022 while he was on loan at Stoke City.
The one-cap Super Eagles forward who was valued at €3m during his loan spell at Stoke City has scored seven goals while providing three assists in 13 league games, a form which contributed highly to the increase in valuation.
At €4m, he is currently the most valuable Bordeaux player this season and the second most valuable player in French Ligue 2 behind St Etienne goalkeeper, Etienne Green who is valued at €5m.
Maja will be hoping to increase his goals tally when Bordeaux visit Stade Bordelais in the French Cup later today. Thanks to Maja’s goals contributions, Bordeaux currently sit top of the Ligue 2 log as they seek promotion back to the topflight.
