D’Tigers forward Jordan Nwora is billed to make his debut for the Indiana Pacers against the Washington Wizards at the Capital One Arena on Sunday after his deadline day trade by the Milwaukee Bucks.
The 24-year-old was involved in a multi-team trade that included the Brooklyn Nets, the Bucks and the Pacers as well as Jae Crowder and five second round picks.
Nwora, known for his offensive and three point play, will be hoping to get more playing minutes with the Pacers while working to improve his defensive capabilities. Reacting to the move, Nwora says he can’t wait to get to work at his new home.
“It feels great…Super excited to be here and ready to get to work. I have a bit of connection here, I went to school just down the street, I’m sure I’m going to love it here,” says Nwora.
Placed 12th in the Eastern Conference and with losses in their last three games, Nwora will be hoping to help them bounce back to winning ways despite playing on the road.
Nwora who was a second round 45th overall selection by the Bucks in the 2020 NBA draft featured in 30 games on their way to winning the NBA championship in 2021.
