Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has etched his name among Nigeria’s Premier League elite after reaching 67 goal involvements in the competition, joining an exclusive list alongside Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Nwankwo Kanu, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Shola Ameobi, Bold Sports reports.

The Fulham playmaker hit the milestone on Sunday as he delivered a brilliant assist for Emile Smith Rowe in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Craven Cottage.

Iwobi now has 31 goals and 36 assists in his Premier League career, placing him level on goal contributions with Iheanacho and Ameobi and trailing only Yakubu (121) and Kanu (83) among Nigerians.

Against Manchester United, Iwobi was at the heart of everything positive for Fulham. He completed 90 minutes with an 82% pass accuracy, created one big chance, and provided the inch-perfect cross for Smith Rowe to grab the equaliser, helping the Cottagers fight back to secure their second point of the season.

Iwobi’s influence at Fulham has grown significantly under head coach Marco Silva. Since the start of last season, he has been directly involved in 16 Premier League goals — more than any other Fulham player.

During this period, he has scored nine goals and assisted seven, with nine of those involvements coming at Craven Cottage, confirming his status as a big-game player for the West London side.

With Fulham aiming to build on their mid-table finish from last season, Iwobi’s creativity and attacking output will remain crucial. His ability to deliver consistent performances while breaking new ground statistically cements his standing as one of Nigeria’s finest exports in Premier League history.
