…Ola Aina is expected to return January 2026

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has provided a positive update on his recovery from the hamstring surgery he underwent in September, Bold Sports reports.

Aina sustained the injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles during their 1-1 draw against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

Upon his return to England, the Nottingham Forest defender underwent surgery to repair the hamstring and has been sidelined since, with an expected recovery period of about three months. This timeline rules him out of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Giving an update on his rehabilitation, Aina shared on Snapchat that he visited his doctors on Tuesday, November 4, to assess his progress. He later posted a short but reassuring message that read: “And it’s clean.”

This comes as encouraging news for the Nigeria international, who will continue his recovery with hopes of returning to competitive action by January 2026.
