Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League side, Ikorodu City FC, have announced the Mobolaji Johnson Arena as their home ground for the upcoming season.
The club made the announcement on social media ahead of their inaugural home match against defending champions Enugu Rangers.
“Our home, Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, will be our home ground for the 2024/2025 football season,” the club stated, adding that details on ticketing, media accreditation, and fan membership would be released later in the week.
Ikorodu City joins other Lagos-based clubs, such as Ikorodu United and Sporting Lagos, who have previously played at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium. The club will be aiming to avoid the fate of those teams who were unable to maintain their top-flight status after using the stadium as their home ground.
Ikorodu City kicked off their league campaign with a 3-0 defeat to four-time champions Kano Pillars.
