Slavia Prague are set to welcome back Super Eagles centre-back Igoh Ogbu as they prepare for their upcoming league fixture against FK Dukla Prague.
Ogbu missed Slavia’s narrow 1–0 victory at the Fortuna Arena on Saturday, joining a growing list of players sidelined through injury.
Speaking after the match, head coach Jindřich Trpišovský said the medical team was working diligently to ensure the Nigeria international would be ready for the derby on Friday, February 27.
“The entire medical team is doing everything they can to be ready for the derby, because we also accumulate penalties there,” Trpišovský told Infotbal.

The Red and Whites have struggled with injuries this season. In addition to Ogbu, David Moses, Tomáš Vlček, David Douděra, Lukáš Provod, Alexandr Bužek, and long-term absentee Dominik Javorček have all been unavailable.
Trpišovský indicated that at least two players could be available for the Dukla game, while four others are expected to return for the derby.
”We need them back as soon as possible. Now I estimate that two players will go with us to Dukla and four players will be available for the derby,” he added.

Ogbu’s return is expected to be a significant boost for Slavia Prague, who will be without suspended pair Tomáš Chorý and Tomáš Holeš for the Dukla fixture.
His presence will strengthen a defensive line stretched thin by absences, giving the Red and Whites a chance to maintain their league momentum.
