Super Eagles and Glasgow Rangers strike Cyriel Dessers, is drawing interest from several European clubs. These include Greek powerhouse PAOK and Bundesliga newcomer St. Pauli.
Additionally, a prominent Saudi Arabian club is also rumored to be interested.
Rangers are hoping to recoup the £4.5 million they spent on the Nigerian forward last year. Dessers arrived from Italian club Cremonese and, despite a mixed first season, managed to score 22 goals for the Gers.
Reports suggest PAOK are in advanced discussions to acquire Dessers and beyond Greece, there’s interest from clubs in Germany, France, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.
While Dessers netted 22 goals for Rangers, his inconsistent performances attracted criticism from fans. Some felt he missed too many scoring opportunities, and the club could benefit from a more reliable striker.
Rangers paid £4.5 million for Dessers and aimed to recover that amount after just one season. They’re open to offers and willing to part ways if their asking price is met.
Notably, a move to Saudi Arabia could potentially bring in more than double the initial transfer fee.
