Galatasaray have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Napoli over the permanent signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, bringing an end to protracted negotiations between both clubs, Bold Sports reports.
The reigning Turkish Super Lig champions have long been eager to secure Osimhen’s services on a full-time basis following his highly successful loan spell last season. The Nigerian star also expressed his desire to remain with the Istanbul-based club, despite attracting interest from other sides.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and several credible outlets, Galatasaray will pay €40 million upfront to Napoli, with an additional €35 million in one year. This brings the total value of the transfer to €75 million.

As part of the deal, Napoli have secured a 10% sell-on clause, allowing them to benefit from any future profit Galatasaray might make from selling Osimhen.
Another notable detail in the agreement is a clause that prevents Osimhen from joining any Serie A club, particularly Juventus, for the next two years.
The 26-year-old striker is now expected to make a return to Galatasaray, where he enjoyed a sensational campaign on loan. He scored 37 goals and registered seven assists, sweeping multiple individual awards including the Golden Boot, Goal of the Season, and Player of the Season.

Osimhen was instrumental in Galatasaray’s domestic double last season. His goals powered the team to a third consecutive Super Lig title and he also delivered in the Turkish Cup final, scoring twice in a 3-0 victory over Trabzonspor.
