Fulham are stepping up efforts to secure the permanent signing of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan, following a loan spell that has delivered flashes of quality, Bold Sports reports.‎‎

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Premier League side are preparing a €24 million move to activate the purchase option in the winger’s deal, a development that would suit Milan, where Chukwueze is no longer central to long-term plans.

‎‎Since arriving at Craven Cottage in search of regular minutes, the Nigerian international has gradually carved out a role under Marco Silva. While not a consistent starter, he has contributed effectively in attacking areas, offering pace and directness when called upon.‎‎

His impact has been most visible in key moments. In 17 league appearances, Chukwueze has recorded three goals and four assists, underlining his ability to influence games even without a guaranteed starting berth.‎‎

One standout performance came in early December, when he announced himself in dramatic fashion with a brace against Manchester City in a thrilling 5-4 contest; an outing that reinforced his attacking pedigree.

‎‎Earlier in the season, the winger had hinted at frustration over limited opportunities in Italy, a situation that ultimately paved the way for his switch to England. The move has since provided a platform to rediscover rhythm and confidence.‎‎

However, Fulham’s interest is being tempered by fitness considerations. Recurring calf issues have disrupted his campaign, forcing him to miss several matches across competitions and limiting his starts.‎‎

With a contract at Milan running until 2028, the final decision now hinges on whether Fulham are fully convinced by his durability. If resolved, the deal could mark a fresh chapter for Chukwueze in the Premier League.‎
