Calvin Bassey is expected to be part of Fulham’s plans for their trip to face Liverpool, with manager Marco Silva suggesting the defender is back in contention after recent fitness concerns.‎‎

The Nigerian centre-back withdrew from international duty during the March window due to a back issue, missing Nigeria’s friendlies in Antalya. That absence initially cast doubt over his availability for Fulham’s next Premier League fixture.‎‎

However, Silva’s latest update in the pre-match conference ahead of the Liverpool clash points in a more positive direction. While addressing the condition of his squad, the Fulham boss confirmed that most returning internationals are in good shape; an indication that Bassey is likely back in the selection mix.‎

Notably, Silva singled out Kevin as a potential absentee, raising concerns over his availability. That clarification, however, indirectly reinforced the fitness of the rest of the squad, including Bassey.‎‎

The Nigerian defender has been a key figure for Fulham this season, starting 21 league matches and contributing at both ends of the pitch. His presence would be a timely boost ahead of a demanding test at Anfield.

‎‎Meanwhile, fellow internationals Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze returned from national duty without issues, further strengthening Silva’s options.‎‎

With one confirmed doubt and the rest of the squad largely intact, all signs point to Bassey being available for selection; even if a final decision will be made closer to kickoff.
