Friday Etim continued his impressive form this season, scoring a goal as Midtjylland secured a 3-2 victory over Lyngby in their Danish Superligaen clash at the MCH Arena on Sunday.
The Nigerian striker took his tally for the campaign to seven goals and three assists in 19 appearances across all competitions, helping his side return to winning ways following a 1-0 defeat to St. Truiden in the Conference League.
The hosts made a positive start to the game and deservedly took the lead in the 17th minute through Gue-Sung Cho. Simon Colyn restored parity for Lyngby in the 32nd minute, but Philip Billing converted a penalty on the stroke of half-time to put Midtjylland back in front at 2-1.
Midtjylland resumed the second half on the front foot and quickly extended their advantage, with Friday Etim finding the net just three minutes after the restart to make it 3-1.

Gustav Fraulo pulled one back for the visitors with a brilliant free-kick in the 89th minute, setting up a tense finish. However, Midtjylland held on to claim all three points and extend their unbeaten start to the league campaign.
The victory sends Midtjylland to the top of the Danish Superligaen standings with 28 points from 12 matches, while Lyngby remain 11th with just eight points after suffering their sixth defeat of the season.
Midtjylland will look to build on the victory when they host OB in the Danish Cup on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lyngby, who are now winless in their last five matches, will be desperate to return to winning ways when they welcome Randers on Friday.
