Frank Onyeka provided an assist as EFL Championship champions Coventry secured a 3-1 win over Wrexham at the CBS Arena on Sunday.
It marked the Nigerian International’s first assist since joining Coventry on loan from Brentford in January, sealing the dominant victory for the champions.
The hosts began the game positively and were rewarded in the 19th minute when Brandon Thomas-Asante scored to hand them the lead. However, Wrexham equalised five minutes later through Oliver Rathbone’s goal.
The match seemed to be heading for a draw until the 80th minute when substitute Victor Torp found the net, making it 2-1. In stoppage time, Frank Onyeka fed a beautiful through pass to Ephron Mason-Clark, who finished calmly to wrap up the win.

The victory takes Coventry up to 92 points in 45 games. For Wrexham, it affects their bid for promotion. While they remain in the playoff spots, only goal difference separates them from seventh-placed Hull City.
With just one game left in the Championship, Coventry will wrap up their campaign with an away trip to Watford on Saturday, May 2. Wrexham must win convincingly when they host Middlesbrough on the same day.
