Eritrea’s National Athletics Team won gold and bronze medals at the 2026 World Athletics Championships held in Denmark.
In the 5 km road race held yesterday, 19 September, in Copenhagen, Olympian Dawit Seare and Athlete Saimon Samuel won gold and bronze medals, respectively, for the Eritrean National Team.
Olympian Dawit finished the race in 12 minutes and 56 seconds, followed by a Norwegian athlete. Dawit’s winning time also set a new national record.
It is to be recalled that Olympian Dawit Seare won the gold medal in the 5 km race at the African Athletics Championships held in Accra, Ghana, earlier this year.
