Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has released a 26-man squad for the 2026 Unity Cup and a 25-man squad for upcoming International friendly games against Poland and Portugal.
The squad for the Unity Cup includes seven NPFL stars and some newly invited players who are set to make their debut for the national team.
Meanwhile, for the high-profile international friendlies, Chelle has invited senior players as Nigeria target morale-boosting victories.
Among the seven domestic players selected for the Unity Cup are Michael Atata, Aderemi Adeoye and Tosin Oyedokun, who all play for Ikorodu United.
Rangers are represented by Chibueze Oputa and Obinna Igboke, while Elias Ochobi of Rivers United and Shooting Stars’ Ayobami Junior complete the list.
Wrexham’s goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo is one of the newly invited players set to make his debut. Oseni Owen (Plymouth), Femi Azeez (Milwall) and highly-rated young talent Zadok Yohanna (AIK) have also been invited.

The squad for the International friendly games include goalkeepers Maduka Okoye (Udinese), Francis Uzoho (Omonoia) and Arthur Okonkwo. Stanley Nwabali remains out.
Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Bright Osayi Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Emmanuel Fernandez, and Igoh Ogbu make up the defence. Ola Aina is not called up as he is currently injured.
Captain Wilfred Ndidi leads the midfield. He is included alongside Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele Bashiru, Raphael Onyedika, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Alhassan Yusuf.
Victor Osimhen leads a star-studded attack which includes Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, Akor Adams, Terem Moffi, and Oseni Owen. Despite his impressive form for Celtic, Kelechi Iheanacho misses out.

Nigeria, who won the 2025 edition, will return for this year’s Unity Cup scheduled to take place from May 26 to May 30 at The Valley in London. The Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe in the semifinals, and could meet either Jamaica or India in the final if they advance.
After the tournament, Nigeria will take on Poland and Portugal in international friendlies on June 3 and June 10.
