Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi made a dream start to life in Italy, coming off the bench to score on his debut as Pisa snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw against Atalanta in their Serie A clash on Friday night, Bold Sports reports.
The 23-year-old, who completed a move from Viktoria Plzen few days ago, was introduced in the 68th minute and wasted little time announcing himself. With Pisa trailing late on, Durosinmi rose highest in the 87th minute to head home the equaliser, earning his new side a precious point.
Atalanta had looked set to continue their fine league form after Nikola Krstovic struck from close range in the 83rd minute to put the visitors ahead. However, Durosinmi’s late intervention ensured both teams shared the spoils, bringing Atalanta’s three-game winning run in the league to an end.

The result lifts Pisa to 19th on the table with 14 points, leaving them three points adrift of Lecce in 17th, who remain just outside the relegation zone with a game in hand. Atalanta, meanwhile, remain seventh on 32 points, now seven points off the top four.
Pisa face another stern test next as they travel to league leaders Inter Milan on Friday, January 23. Atalanta will turn their attention to Europe, hosting Athletic Club in the Champions League on Wednesday, January 21.
Durosinmi, who now boasts 14 goals across all competitions this season, will be hoping his instant impact marks the beginning of a crucial spell as he looks to spearhead Pisa’s fight for survival and guide them clear of relegation trouble.
