Cyriel Dessers was on target for Glasgow Rangers in their 2-1 comeback win over Greenock Morton in a Scottish League Cup second-round clash on Saturday at the Ibrox Stadium.
Michael Beale’s men, who were without several key players, fell behind in the 53rd minute when Ton’s captain, Grant Gillespie, converted a penalty after a VAR review.
The Super Eagles striker grabbed the equalizer for the Gers in the 60th minute from the penalty spot. His compatriot, Leon Balogun had been hurled down in the 18-yard box as he attempted to connect with the ball from a long corner kick. Danilo scored the winner in the 68th minute.

The goal is Dessers’ second for the club in five games. He scored his first goal in the UEFA Champions League third round first leg qualifying match against Swiss side Sevette.
Leon Balogun who was brought down inside the 18-yard box for Ranger’s opener made way for striker Abdallah Sima in the 57th minute while Dessers was replaced by Kemar Roofe in the 80th minute.
Next stop for the Nigeria international and Rangers is a Champions League play-off first-leg tie against PSV Eindhoven at Ibrox on Tuesday.
