…Felix Uduokhai open to representing Super Eagles
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has urged his Beşiktaş teammate, German-born defender of Nigerian descent Felix Uduokhai, to switch allegiance and represent Nigeria at the international level, Bold Sports reports.
Uduokhai, 28, has yet to feature for Germany’s senior national team, although he has represented the country from the U-19 level up to the Olympic team. He received a senior team call-up in 2020 but did not play in any competitive match for Die Nationalmannschaft, leaving him eligible to represent Nigeria.

In a Snapchat video, Ndidi is seen playfully trying to convince the defender to join the Super Eagles, stressing the team’s need for a centre-back. “Come and play for Nigeria. Centre-back, we want centre-back,” Ndidi said.
Uduokhai, laughing, responded in Pidgin English, jokingly asking, “How much?” to play for Nigeria. Ndidi burst into laughter and replied, “What do you mean, how much? If you want money, just don’t bother-just stay.”
Both players shared a laugh afterward. Uduokhai has previously expressed openness to switching allegiance to Nigeria if the right opportunity arises.
