French Ligue 1 side Nantes have reached an agreement in principle with Portuguese club Boavista for the signing of Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem on a four-year deal.
According to reports, the Nigeria international has already agreed personal terms with the Canaris as he hopes to complete a return to the club where he spent a season on loan during the 2017-18 from FC Porto.

Respected French publication L’Equipe has reported that the agreement between Boavista and Nantes for Chidozie Awaziem is worth €1.5m. The 26-year-old who spent last season on loan at Hajduk Split is contracted to the Portuguese club until 2025.
Awaziem will fill in the space left by Andrei Girotto, who departed to join the Saudi Arabian team Al-Tawoon.
During his previous spell with Nantes, Awaziem scored once in 22 appearances for the club.
Awaziem will reunite with Super Eagles teammate Moses Simon who has been an integral part of the Nantes side.
Simon who is in the last year of his four-year contract with Nantes has been in great from since joining them permanently in the summer of the 2020/21 season after spending a year on loan.
