…Bulls drafted Ayo Dosunmu in 2021 at No. 38
The Minnesota Timberwolves have acquired shooting guard Ayo Dosunmu and Julian Phillips from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, and four second-round draft picks.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Dosunmu is among the notable names moved on deadline day, ending his five-year stint with the Bulls to join Minnesota.
The 26-year-old, a second-round (38th overall) selection in the 2021 NBA Draft, made a strong impression during his time in Chicago. Of Nigerian descent, Dosunmu played his final game for the Bulls on Wednesday night, recording 17 points, eight assists, four rebounds, and three steals while shooting 6-of-12 from the field.

This season, the Illinois native is averaging 15.0 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. Widely regarded as one of the league’s top perimeter defenders, Dosunmu is expected to slot in alongside Minnesota franchise star Anthony Edwards, adding defensive versatility and backcourt depth.
Dosunmu’s $7.5 million salary made him one of the Timberwolves’ most attainable guard targets at the deadline, and he is eligible for a contract extension of up to three years worth $52 million.
