Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named a 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic, Bold Sports reports.

First-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali headlines the list of goalkeepers, joined by Amas Obasogie and Abebayo Adeleye. In defense, captain William Troost-Ekong leads the line alongside Semi Ajayi, who returns to the squad, while Felix Agu, Bruno Onyemaechi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, and youngster Benjamin Frederick complete the defensive options.

In midfield, in-form Fulham star Alex Iwobi is included, while Alhassan Yusuf makes a return. Wilfred Ndidi, who recently returned to action after an injury against South Africa, has been named in the squad, alongside Brentford’s Frank Onyeka.

Up front, Olakunle Olusegun and Terem Moffi return to international duty, while Sevilla striker Akor Adams earns his first-ever senior call-up. They join an attack brimming with firepower that includes Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Tolu Arokodare, and Cyriel Dessers.

With only two matches left, Chelle’s men must secure back-to-back wins against Lesotho and Benin, while also hoping for favorable results elsewhere, to keep their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup alive.
